Literary Archives

In recent times, we have successfully placed the Literary Archives of several contemporary Irish Writers with institutions in Ireland, Germany, Japan and the United States.

We are happy to advise interested parties and regularly catalogue Archives on behalf of Authors and Estate Administrators.

We are currently promoting six Archives by contemporary Irish Writers, Poets & Playwrights.

These include three novelists, all of whom are accomplished poets, and two of whom are respected playwrights, three poets, one of whom has had several plays produced.

All of the six have worked on film scripts and major dramatic productions of other artist’s works.

Two hail from the West of Ireland, two from the Midlands and two from Dublin, although one of these grew up in Co. Wexford.

These archives are offered for sale individually and all negotiations will be handled separately.

Collectively they offer a unique opportunity for an institution to acquire a substantial body of important literary manuscripts by present day Irish Writers.

We also advise institutions on purchases and were recently commissioned by the National Library of Ireland to advise of the purchase of the collection of James Joyce, “Early Notebooks” and “Ulysses” manuscripts from the Lean family.

Over the years we have promoted and sold original manuscripts by many Irish writers including Nuala Ni Dhomhaill, Michael Longley, Francis Stuart, Meadh McGuckian, Ciaran Carson, Benedict Kiely, Patricia Lynch and her husband R.M. Fox, Gerry Dawe, John F. Deane, The Salmon Press, Walter Macken, Raven Arts Press, Frank Ormsby and Seamus McManus.
